As Wittenberg looks to embark on its first comprehensive campaign in nearly two decades, several alumni and campus representatives have agreed to assist the University in this bold effort.
Leading the committee will be managing co-chair Janet E. Jackson β75, retired CEO and president of United Way of Central Ohio; co-chair Wesley Bates β70, CEO and Chair of the Board of Stanley Steemer; and co-chair Sarah Hagen McWilliams β88, community leader and philanthropist.
Joining the co-chairs will be Derrick Braziel β09, co-founder of MORTAR Cincinnati; Bill Edwards β89, partner, Ulmer & Berne LLP; Alicia Sweet Hupp β82, president and CEO of Sweet Manufacturing Company; Bob Merzweiler β76, CEO of Landmark Plastic Corp.; Steve Neely β75, president/owner of Armoloy of Ohio; and Gina Schaefer β93, owner, Logan Hardware. The committee will also include Wittenberg representatives Rebecca Kocher, vice president for advancement and alumni engagement, and Andrew Steele, assistant vice president for advancement and director of campaigns. Melanie Norton, founder, Norton Philanthropic Counsel, will help advise the campaign.
